LawVision Group Announces “LPM Solutions” for Smaller Firms

Recognizing that legal project management (LPM) is no longer just for big law firms, LawVision Group, one of the premier management consulting firms for the legal profession, announced today its new training approach, “LPM Solutions,” for the smaller law firm. As Large Law continues to deliver services for a lower cost – often with support of internal project management staff – smaller law firms are less able to compete on price or invest in the resources to implement a successful LPM initiative. “LPM Solutions” will provide smaller firms not yet ready to hire an internal LPM resource with the necessary LPM expertise to stay competitive.

“We saw an increased need for LPM coaching of matter teams at our smaller law firm clients,” noted Carla Landry, Senior Consultant at LawVision Group.  “With this new training approach, we embed our professionals into client matter teams and teach lawyers and other legal professionals the fundamentals of LPM, including how to begin engagements with clear expectations from the client and communicate those expectations to matter team members. In essence, we transfer our expertise to client matter teams with the intention of alleviating their need to invest in permanent resources to get LPM off the ground.”

“LPM Solutions” is designed to help matter teams develop and implement relevant LPM tools and techniques.  The training instructs matter team members how to clarify scope of work, to develop a work/project plan to clearly map out the details of a matter and to provide their clients with a more accurate budget.
